Creating mentally healthy workplace environments for Māori

Downloadable Only

Description:

This resource is the first in a series providing practical tools to help workplaces become more culturally responsive. By creating more inclusive and supportive environments for Māori employees, workplaces can help to address some Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles at work and boost their Diversity and Inclusion efforts in the workplace.

Evidence shows that culturally-inclusive workplaces have a positive influence on mental wellbeing for Māori employees, which can bring economic and social benefits to organisations such as retaining staff, building connections and improving overall wellbeing.

This first resource explores the concept of whānau (family and social connections) and how it impacts the wellbeing of Māori in the workplace.
