Mental Health Advocacy Resources
Tools you can use to advocate for change
These resources promote changes to mental health-related policies, systems, laws and behaviours to support better mental health outcomes for everyone. Some of these resources are designed for politicians, others for the media. Many can be used by anyone to advocate for change – whether you’re someone with mental health challenges, a loved one or whānau member, a mental health worker or an organisation.
No matter who you are, we hope you’ll find our resources both educational and actionable. You can use all of our resources for free, including for any advocacy or educational work you may be undertaking.
If you’d like to know more about our resources, please email policyandadvocacy@mentalhealth.org.nz
