Kāhui Tū Kaha provides support to people with mental illness in the Auckland, Counties Manukau or Waitemata District Health Board areas.
Kāhui Tū Kaha provides support to people with mental illness in the community. If you live in the Auckland, Counties Manukau or Waitemata District Health Board areas, you can access a range of free services provided you meet the necessary criteria for referral. Kāhui Tū Kaha run a variety of groups for different population groups. Some groups provide recovery support, others provide community mental health education or family/whānau support.

Men's change and support group
A general support group for men going through change, difficult times, including depression.
Men often find themselves in situations where they are expected to deal with big change in their lives and with little support.
This group is an open, easy-going group of ordinary guys who have had crisis and change in the past helping men who are going through hard times now. Run through Manalive Auckland.

Mental health peer support, education, and independent advocacy
Mind and Body is a for-peer-by-peer organisation and all staff have lived experience of mental distress or addiction, providing an empathy and understanding of what people may be experiencing. The guiding principle of all their services is that every person is capable of flourishing in life.
Our areas of expertise are mental health peer support; initiatives involving social inclusion and de-stigmatisation; mental health education programmes and independent peer advocacy for people with mental health issues and addictions.

Solace Support Auckland
A peer support group for people bereaved by suicide.
A peer support group for people bereaved by suicide. Solace meets regularly, on the second Saturday of every month from 9.30am to 12 midday. Solace also holds an annual candle lighting ceremony in November.

The WALSH Trust offers support services that promote recovery for people whose lives have been affected by an experience of mental illness. Services include short-term residential accommodation for older people, housing and recovery support services, maternal mental health support, life-skills programs and Employment Works! employment service. A peer support group welcoming parents who have lost a child of any age.
Together – Bereaved Parents Support Group is designed by bereaved parents for bereaved parents and is open to any parent who has lost a child of any age. Meeting monthly its aim is to help grieving parents to connect with people who understand what they are going through, to feel less isolated, find support and more hope for the future.

Well Women Franklin
We support women and their families in Franklin and Papakura who are experiencing Antenatal or Postnatal Distress and Anxiety.
The core services that we offer are peer support, 24-hour telephone support, childcare (while the women attend group), in home support & home visiting. We also offer a social worker, movement workshops and an individualized goal-setting programme.
Our weekly peer support groups are a safe environment for women to connect with others who may be experiencing similar feelings. Our services help women on their journey to becoming well again and empower them to take back their lives. Any women who feels they need some support is welcome to get in touch with us.
