Virginia Brooks

She, her, ia. Virginia is fuelled by her passion for peer support and postvention.

Bereaved by suicide, she develops suicide prevention and bereavement resources for the MHF and among other things, chairs the MHF suicide bereavement service Advisory Group. In her own time she helps run a peer support group for suicide loss.

She has a Masters degree in Anthropology from the University of Auckland, along with a postgrad degree in teaching and an almost completed degree in guidance counselling.

Her hunger for knowledge and determination to turn information into action puts all this learning to good use on a regular basis.

Meanwhile life happens. Coffee helps.
