The Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand is New Zealand’s only national mental health charity. We work to improve the mental health and wellbeing of all New Zealanders. We run and partner in nearly 50 programmes and projects around Aotearoa and need a skilled communications and marketing professional to help our mahi connect with our audience.

We have a permanent role for a passionate, talented and enthusiastic individual to work on creating and developing resources, leading and supporting communications and marketing projects, engaging media, monitoring and moderating social media and engaging our stakeholders across a number of topics that may include workplace wellbeing, suicide prevention, bullying reduction and decreasing prejudice and discrimination.

You will:

  • Have at least 5 years’ experience in a communications or marketing role 
  • Be a phenomenal writer, editor, interviewer and proof-reader 
  • Have knowledge of Te Ao Māori and Te Reo Māori (or a desire to grow and extend your knowledge)
  • Have demonstrated ability to create and execute audience-driven promotion plans 
  • Be experienced in using social media to motivate and inspire 
  • Have strong relationship management skills

This roles sits within the Mental Health Foundation’s communications and marketing team and reports to the communications and marketing team lead.

Salary will be commensurate to successful candidate’s skills and experience for the role.
