The Government are planning to remove relationships and sexuality education (RSE) guidelines in schools, which empower schools to create safer and more inclusive environments, and help rainbow and takatāpui staff and tauira (students) feel safe and included at school or work.

We oppose this move. The Mental Health Foundation and many other allied organisations have penned an open letter to the Minister of Education, Erica Stanford, asking the Government to retain these guidelines so tauira can learn in the bullying-free, safe school environments they deserve – and schools can retain effective, evidence-based tools to make these safe school environments a reality.

Will you stand with us, by co-signing our open letter to the Minister?
