We’re here for you. You’re here for Aotearoa.
At any one time there are about one million people needing mental health support in Aotearoa. But even if mental health services dramatically increased, it’s near impossible for any system to service that many people at once.
The Mental Health Foundation advocates for better access to mental health services, but we can’t just wait for services to catch up – we need to educate New Zealanders about mental health and give them the tools to care for their own wellbeing every day.
Corporate sponsorships are an essential part of the solution.
The financial support from our sponsors allows us to continue our mahi uplifting the mental health and wellbeing of everyone in Aotearoa. In return, we promise to create a meaningful, authentic partnerships with our sponsors, supporting you to put the wellbeing of your staff, your customers and your communities first.
Major Sponsor
Cotton On has been the official retail partner of Pink Shirt Day since 2019. In that time they’ve raised over $2.3 million to support the Mental Health Foundation efforts to eliminate bullying by creating a kinder, more inclusive Aotearoa. Some of their team even modelled for us! Check out the 2024 Cotton On range of Pink Shirt Day products here.
Sime Darby Motors NZ joined the Mental Health Foundation as a Major Sponsor in 2024. The company employs around 1200 people who sell, service and support premium automotive and commercial transport brands, selling cars, trucks, and materials handling equipment across New Zealand.
Look beneath the bonnet and you’ll discover a company where ‘care for all’ is a core value. Through its partnership with the Mental Health Foundation, Sime Darby aims to support employees and provide opportunities to raise awareness and funds by participating in key initiatives like Pink Shirt Day and Move For Mental Health.
The company recently ran a Move-a-thon, encouraging its people to Connect, Be Active, Give, Take Notice and Keep Learning – the Five Ways to Wellbeing – and committed to match every dollar raised to support the Mental Health Foundation’s work across Aotearoa.
Proud Sponsors
Infrastructure company Downer knows how important wellbeing is to the communities they helps build. One of the ways they show their support is by matching donations made to the hundreds of runners who fundraise for us during the Auckland Marathon and taking part on race day.
AIA
AIA supports us through its AIA Vitality programme which encourages members to earn rewards by focusing on their own physical and mental wellbeing. During Mental Health Awareness Week AIA staff took part in a fundraising triathlon. For every kilometre AIA team members ran, walked, biked or rowed, AIA donated $10 to the Mental Health Foundation.
