Managing manawa pā/triggered thoughts and emotions while living through a pandemic

The ever-changing nature of COVID-19 and its impact on our lives can feel frustrating and overwhelming.

Managing these ongoing changes and uncertainties can trigger new and old distressing thoughts or trauma, and remind us of situations where we’ve felt trapped, helpless or afraid. 

Managing these thoughts and emotions can be really hard. To help, we’ve asked a registered psychologist and people who’ve been through traumatic experiences in the past to give us some tips on how they would manage, and are managing, the big emotions right now.
