Polly is a clinical psychologist who works both in mental health and supporting young people who are struggling with school-based learning. She is currently self-employed, but she previously worked for mental health services at the Hutt Valley District Health Board. She is passionate about raising awareness, advocating for change and ensuring that people can access the support they need, when they need it.
Prior to training as a psychologist, she was a strategic advisor in the government sector and a professional company director, serving on the boards of three large, state sector organisations. Serving on the Mental Health Foundation board is a unique opportunity to utilise the skills and experience she has gained working in mental health, as a board director, and within government to create change.
