We have a new, exciting opportunity for a Senior Finance Administrator to join our driven and friendly Finance & Admin team.
We are looking for a Senior Finance Administrator with a positive attitude, an enthusiastic team player who is willing to work collaboratively to achieve team goals and deadlines.
This role will work closely with the Finance & Administration Manager supporting them with a range of end of month, reporting, payroll, budget and accounts duties.
Such as:
- End of month finance procedures
- Fortnightly payroll
- Reconciliations (GST, FBT, PAYE etc)
- Monthly and annual accounts regular reporting
- Preparing budget templates
Ensuring that the appropriate finance systems are in place, you will monitor and manage them to ensure effective and efficient performance. This role would suit someone who embraces continuous improvement.
You’ll work collaboratively across our teams and maintain excellent working relationships with internal stakeholders, such as project leads and budget holders to proactively prompt deadlines and identify any issues to troubleshoot.
You will have:
- A background of working in a Finance department is essential, preferably with extensive experience of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable functions and administrative duties
- Proven understanding of accounting concepts and experience with accounting software e.g. Attaché, MYOB Advanced
- The ability to perform data input activities quickly and accurately
- You will need to be systems and IT savvy with the ability to pick up new systems and improve existing ones.
- Professional standards of written and verbal communication
- Working knowledge and capability with information and communication technology
- Alignment with the vision and values of MHF
- Understanding of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Willingness to grow and extend knowledge of Te Ao Māori and Te Reo Māori

This is a new role and sits within the Mental Health Foundation’s Finance & Admin team and reports to the Finance & Administration Manager.
The salary range for this role is $57,000 - $67,000.
