The Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand (MHF) is a charity that works towards creating a society free from discrimination, where all people enjoy positive mental health & wellbeing.
The MHF is looking for an Individual Giving Officer to join our enthusiastic and energetic fundraising team. This is an exciting new role within the team as we expand our individual giving programs. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of this space. If you are a passionate fundraiser with experience in individual giving, this is the role for you.
This role is responsible for helping implement MHF individual giving programs including direct mail, regular giving and digital fundraising. You will be helping guide content development for fundraising assets, developing meaningful and impactful donor journeys and working collaboratively on data and reporting. You will need to have a good understanding of individual giving fundraising and be a good communicator with project management skills.
You will have:
- At least 2 years’ experience within an Individual Giving role: regular giving, direct mail and/or digital fundraising
- Be confident using fundraising CRMs (Salesforce experience is desirable)
- Demonstrated project management experience and skills
- Exceptional writing and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create and collaborate with the production of fundraising and/or marketing materials
- Willingness to grow and extend knowledge of Te Ao Māori and Te Reo Māori
- Willingness to extend and grow in the fundraising space

This is a new role which sits within the Mental Health Foundation’s fundraising team and reports to the Individual Giving & Key Relationships Team Lead.
The salary band for this role is $72,000 - $82,000 and will be commensurate to the successful candidate's skills and experience for the role.
