The MHF is expanding its individual giving and relationship fundraising activities and this role is an exciting opportunity to be a key part of this growth. If you’ve got admin support experience, excellent interpersonal skills (including inbound and outbound calling) and a desire to work in fundraising, then this role is for you. 

This role is responsible for the day-to-day inbound and outbound interactions with supporters. This includes responding to postal, email and telephone inquiries, processing donations, receipting and providing general admin support. 

Collaborating with the fundraising team and the wider organisation, you’ll work to draft messages to supporters in a way that reflects our organisational values. Your work will ensure our donors feel valued, supported and heard. You’ll be sharing with people how they’re helping improve the positive mental health and wellbeing of all New Zealanders. 

You will have:  

    • Experience within admin support. 
    • Exceptional writing and interpersonal skills, particularly via email and over the phone 
    • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks 
    • Eye for detail and accuracy for managing donor information 
    • Ability to use initiative, collaborate and work well within a team environment 
    • Understanding of, and experience with people from a wide range of cultures/ethnicities and life    experiences 
    • Willingness to grow and extend knowledge of Te Ao Māori and Te Reo Māori 
    • Willingness to extend and grow in the fundraising space 
    • CRM experience is desirable

 This role sits within the Mental Health Foundation’s fundraising team and reports to the Individual Giving and Relationships Team Lead, based in Auckland

The salary for this role is $53,000 - $60,000 and will be commensurate to the successful candidate's skills and experience.

We often hear people’s stories about mental health and distress when we are talking to members of the public. Occasionally, someone may call us in crisis.
